Parent & Teen Session
As our children move into teenage years, we find that some of our ways of connecting are not received as they were before. In a gentle, nonjudgmental way, embodiment work gives us the opportunity to see certain relational patterns. From this place of observation, we can choose ways of connecting that support both parent and child in this season.
This one-day experience takes place outdoors with free-roaming horses and is designed for parents and teens to explore how they relate to each other in real time. You won’t be talking about your relationship—you’ll be noticing it as it happens.
No horse experience is necessary and all work is done on the ground. In this safe and supportive circle, all sharing is voluntary.
This is not about fixing your teen or changing how you parent. It’s about learning how to stay connected, authentically, as we navigate the best ways to meet our teens’ needs.
We will practice
Giving space while staying connected
Allowing expression without taking things personally
Setting and respecting clear boundaries
Listening without interrupting, fixing, or correcting
What you’ll leave with
Clarity of certain embodied patterns
Clear awareness of at least one pattern that disrupts your connection
An understanding of the power of pause
A felt experience of what connection feels like without pressure or control
Who this is for
